Who Is Pastor Ayodele Makanju?

Ayodele Bamidele Makanju, a loving, caring, humorous, strict disciplinarian, God loving gentleman and a loving husband of Oluwayomi Modupe ( nee Fadipe) was the seventh child of late Babatunde Makanju, a devoted Muslim, converted to Christian. He came to the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ in 1984 at the Deeper life Bible ministry, Nigeria. He was a member of the Christian Union of Nigeria.

He joined the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Strong Tower Sanctuary (Lagos Province 19 Headquarters) in 1997 under the tutelage of Pastor Magnus Maduka, where he pioneered the Drama Ministry. He served in the Choir and Sunday school departments and led the Holy Police unit. He was also a House Fellowship leader/ Coordinator, Minister in charge of Believer’s class, Junior Church Pastor and Coordinator of Zonal Children Department.

He relocated to Ibadan, Oyo state, Nigeria in 2001 and joined the RCCG, Power Sanctuary (Oyo 2 Headquarters), there he continued his service to God in the Children department and was subsequently transferred to the newly established Mega parish, Holy Ghost Arena, where he was ordained and graciously assisted the Zonal Pastor in the day to day activities of the Church and later moved to Pastor one of the three Mega parishes (RCCG King’s Palace)established by Oyo 2 as the King’s Family. His family relocated to the U.S.A. and continued his service to God, as one of the Ministers in RCCG Amazing Grace Sanctuary, Stafford, Virginia and later a member of RCCG, Victory International Center, Mableton, Georgia

Pastor Makanju, graduated from the RCCG School of Disciples in 2003 and Bible College in 2006. He has a degree in Mass Communication and two separate Master’s degrees in Industrial Psychology and Applied Communications from the prestigious University of Ibadan. He is a certified Marketer and a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing of Nigeria, Advertising Practitioner Council (APCON), Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and an Associate of The Nigeria Institute of Management.

He is highly endowed with an avalanche of gifts by The Almighty God. His leadership potential was discovered early in his life when he was made the Assistant Senior Prefect in the Junior High School, Senior Prefect in the Senior high school, Honorable Chief Whip of the Students Union Government, Chairman of the Presidents of Departments, President of the Mass Communication students Association, and Students Union Leader and Activist.

An avowed Sports lover, he represented his Schools at various Football, Table tennis, Volley ball and Hand ball competitions. Pastor Makanju, is also a Teacher, an Actor, Script writer and Movie Producer/Director. He featured in Mount Zion’s Busy but Guilty, Youthful Lust, Blood on the Altar and recently acted in and produced a film in America entitled “Built on Sand”. He has worked in different Public and Private institutions

He loves God and mankind dearly, hence his determination to remain in the Vineyard of God who gave him the grace for all the accomplishments aforementioned, and Who is still doing wonders in his life, Family and Ministry, in Jesus name.
